Under the leadership of the Prime Minister Hon. Brigadaire (R’td) Mark Philips, the Office of the Prime Minister, Cooperative Republic of Guyana, is responsible for the management of an extensive portfolio. Find information on Agencies in the Energy, Civil Defence, Information and Telecommunications Agencies as well as the work and initiatives spearheaded by the Prime Minister.
Following his appointment as Prime Minister, the Brigadier Mark Phillips was assigned the responsibility for the energy sector, Civil Defence Commission (CDC), and the information sector. Brigadier (R’td) Phillips also sits on the Defence Board of Guyana.
Following his appointment as Minister within the Office of the Prime Minister, the Hon. Kwame Mc Coy was assigned the responsibility for Public Affairs with specific responsibilities over the Department of Public Information, National Communications Network, Guyana National Newspapers Limited, Guyana National Broadcasting Authority and Guyana National Printers Limited.
