Office of the Prime Minister – RFP C4D Community-based Content Development Project Grant

The Department of Public Affairs (DPA) is seeking to partner with community groups in all ten
administrative regions of Guyana for the conceptualization, development, production and
publication/broadcast of communication concepts that support the promotion of
government’s development programmes and projects.

Project Framework:

• The DPA will select a total of four of the most ‘sufficiently responsive’ groups from
  each region for the project.
• Each of the selected groups will receive a grant award of two hundred and fifty thousand dollars ($250,000) to support the development and production of a communictiaon product/ set of products
• The DPA will support the process to be undertaken by each group through training workshops and practical exposure to the production operations of the National
• Communication Network or local affiliated stations/production house.
• ·Each group will be allowed to appear and debut their completed products on the Guyana Today show (NCN).
• The DPA will publish/broadcast completed products across the state media spectrum and through private media willing to support the project as public service broadcast/publicaon

Response Consideraons:

• Groups must be operational for at least four months in their respective region and must have a minimum of ten active members.
• The competition is open to community service groups, as well as faith-based groups and schools.
• Communication concepts being submitted must be cross-cutting and tailored for at least three of the following media channels: radio, television, social media, newsprint, flyer, poster, short skit/edutainment.
